Legacy Stables is pleased to announce the inclusion of Sue Mesa as head trainer
and general manager. She comes to us with over 40 years of experience in horses
in a variety of disciplines, but grounded in the art of dressage (which is
French for training).
Sue Mesa has had a horse or pony
since she was 6 years old and she has been a professional horseman for almost
30 years. She has with or for such notable horseman and riders as James Walsh
who rode for Ireland in the 1988 Olympics, Grant Schniedman, a noted Grand Prix
rider, Mike Spannuas, a Grand Prix Jumper rider/trainer and Susan Carr, a "R"
dressage judge. She has ridden with French and German masters in dressage and
has competed in Eventing, hunters, schooling jumpers and western pleasure. She
has no breed or discipline prejudices and believes a well trained, happy horse
in any discipline is a joy for anyone to ride.
Sue emphazes safety of the rider first, then correct equitation, and balance in
the rider. She is a postive upbeat instructor and believes in setting up the
rider to succeed.
